Day 1: Aerocity hotel close to the airport
Arrive in Delhi. No activities are planned today but we can organise a half day city tour. Delhi has a lot to offer from birding trails to textile tours, heritage and architectural walks to culinary experiences, there is something for everyone.
Days 2 - 4: Reni Pani jungle Lodge, Satpura National Park
This morning we make our way to Central India on an early flight to Bhopal before you transfer to Satpura for lunch. In the afternoon take a canoe safari which is an excellent way to get close to crocodiles and aquatic birds. Spot land mammals coming to the edge of the river for a drink in the evening, not to mention offering an amazing view during sunset. On day 3 spend the whole day in the forest on safari. Stop for lunch at Churna Forest Rest House or spend this time by a small creek that runs past the camp. The last day at Satpura is a walking safari to appreciate the lesser fauna. It is also exciting to come across larger mammals and predators on foot! In the afternoon explore the surrounding villages, participate in birding around the lodge or simply unwind. In the evening there is a dusk drive to find nocturnal animals like the Rusty-spotted Cat – the world’s smallest wildcat.
Days 5 - 7: Pench Tree Lodge, Pench Tiger Reserve
In the morning take your last jeep safari into Satpura Tiger Reserve. After an early lunch you transfer to Pench Tiger Reserve. Pench Tiger Reserve derives it name from the Pench river which is the lifeline of the park. This park is largely a teak forest giving better visibility and is a great park to see tiger, leopard, dhole and gaur. Enjoy morning and afternoon safaris in Pench to really experience life in the jungle.
Days 8 - 9: Cycling safari with Mobile Camp.
Enjoy a 2 night 3 day cycling experience through the jungles, tribal villages and the countryside. This cycling experience takes you to central India’s famous “Two Project Tiger” national parks, Pench and Kanha. The route offers exclusive prospects to see the best of the Indian wildlife, closely, in its natural habitat. We cycle through the very jungles of Seoni mentioned in the Jungle book. Apart from the wildlife, the tour provides distinctive opportunity to experience rural life in India and meet local people who live in harmony with wildlife. You will be accompanied by expert naturalist / guide, who has incredible local knowledge. They will share our vision of an authentic cultural exchange and real exploration with a responsible tourism approach.
Days 10 - 12: Kanha Earth Lodge, Kanha Tiger Reserve
We cycle on our last day for about 3 ½ hours to reach Banjar River. Picnic lunch will be served at a scenic location at Banjar River. Lastly, we cycle for about 40 minutes (around 5 kms) to reach Kanha Earth Lodge. Kanha Tiger Reserve is the largest tiger reserve in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The park is situated in the Central Indian Highlands, which are part of the extensive tableland that forms India’s main peninsula. We take two safaris into the park on day 11 to explore the thriving wildlife and of course still search for more opportunities to see the Bengal Tiger.
Day 13: Aerocity hotel close to the airport
Take your last morning safari in Kanha. After an early lunch you make your way to Jabalpur airport to catch your flight back to Delhi. In Delhi connect on to your international flight back home.
