Full Itinerary

 

Days 6 - 7: Mkhaya Game Reserve. Unique, intimate encounters with Mkhaya’s wildlife are exceptional and all travel within the reserve is by open Land Rovers or on foot. Mkhaya currently supports three of the Big Five; with leopard, buffalo and rhino being present on the reserve. You should be able to see rhino up close and personal. A host of other game such as giraffe, hippo, crocodile, roan and sable antelope, tsessebe, eland, kudu, ostrich and vervet monkey are also seen regularly. 

 

Days 8 - 10: Hlane Royal National Park. In the vast bushveld expanse of eastern Eswatini where the hot, still sun of Africa beats on the dry but life-giving soils lies Eswatini’s largest protected area, Hlane Royal National Park. Hlane is home to the largest herds of game in the Kingdom and at night you go to sleep listening to the rumbling roars of lion. Hlane offers fantastic sightings of white rhino, you might even see these magnificent beasts on foot. Visit a nearby local community to see artisans at work. 

 

Days 11 - 13: Foresters Arms. Visit Quazi Design on the way to Foresters Arms stop of at Quazi Design, one of our valued suppliers. The studio is situated on the outskirts of Mbabane, on the way to Foresters Arms. Spend time in the studio where you can watch how each piece is made by hand from start to finish. Each individual artisan has been trained with the various techniques to create unique products, all using recycled paper. Meet the artisans and exchange ideas. Quazi Design believes in sustainable design; craft that has a positive social impact, is good for the environment and is also beautiful. The Foresters Arms dates from colonial times and is a place of great character and charm. Foresters Arms has a personal and relaxed feel about it, where time slows down and you can have the opportunity to appreciate the glorious scenery of the surrounding area. From here you can climb Sibebe Rock, the largest exposed granite pluton in the world, visit Ngwenya Glass factory and hike in spectacular mountainous Malolotja Nature Reserve.
