My name is Anne and I hail from the Akamba community. The Akambas are traditionally instrument makers and woodcarvers.
They actually say that our skills in the arts are inborn. I grew up doing small carvings and making small instruments, an art that I have successfully monetized today.
Today I make keyholders, small drums, and stringed African musical instruments.
