This Set of 3 Wooden Kenyan Sculptures have been hand-carved and hand-painted by a skilled Kenyan artisan. Included in this sculpture set is the Dancing Couple, Gymnast and Family Silhouette. Making these statues requires deep skill and patience, an art that has been perfected over 20 years by this woodcarver.

Dancing Couple Sculpture:
This dancing couple silhouette carving is brown in color. It represents an African couple, depicting their close connection with each other.

Gymnast Sculpture:
Painstakingly carved from a single piece of wood, this shadow sculpture depicts a gymnast. The gymnast's spine is curved backward to hold on to the left foot, in a show of great flexibility and concentration.

Family Silhouette Sculpture:
This family is carved out of a single piece of wood and has been designed so that the composition is such that the three family members flow into one another. This silhouette sculpture is meant to signify the deep linkages in a family as well as the love they have for each other.

My family nurtured my inborn talent and now my experience spans a period of over two decades. My niches are wooden bowls together with wooden silhouette carvings.
