Product Description:
The African Animals Sculpture Set includes two handmade wooden sculptures from a Kenyan artisan. The artisan makes these wood carvings to document real-life events in the animal kingdom and uses a special tree called the Mpingo tree. This is an indigenous hardwood tree whose inner part is dark while the outer part is light in color. When skillfully carved, it brings out interesting contrasts. Some of the natural events that the artisan carves include lactating mothers, hunting leopards, antelope stampedes, and the wildebeest migration.
Kindly Note: Please allow for slight variations in size, shape, and finish/color since this is a handmade craft.
