Fireside Coal Storage Scuttle from circa 1910 with a sanded back, waxed with top quality Osmo oil leaving an environmentally friendly finish. It is on its original wheels and has had a new handle added to the front. Tilting wooden front to access original removable metal liner with 2 handles, liner painted gloss black (black metal paint isn’t environmentally friendly). This is an upcycled piece of furniture and subsequently may have the occasional mark. It is pre-loved and the hole housing the handle wasn’t central so another centrally placed hole was drilled, and the original hole filled. This cannot be seen from the front as it is obscured by the black metal handle as you can see from the photos. This piece would be great as magazine or living room storage if not coal.
