  • 1 can (400g) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 75g cocoa powder
  • 125g almond butter
  • 80ml pure maple syrup
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 100g dairy-free chocolate chips
  • Optional toppings: festive sprinkles, chopped nuts, or a dusting of edible glitter


1. Preheat the Oven

Set your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a square baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

2. Prepare the Chickpeas

Rinse and drain the chickpeas, patting them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

3. Blend the Base

In a food processor, blend chickpeas, cocoa powder, almond butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt until smooth.

4. Fold in Chocolate

Stir in the dairy-free chocolate chips throughout the batter.

5. Bake and Decorate

Transfer the batter to the prepared pan, smoothing the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Once cooled, add festive toppings like sprinkles, chopped nuts, or a dusting of edible glitter.
